Single chine vee bottom full keel steel schooner. Framing is transverse web frames on one metre (39.4”) spacing with flat bar longitudinals. Box keel, flat bar stem and round bar chines with pipe rails.

This boat is a smaller version of my 60’ cargo schooner, with the addition of a round stern which I think is prettier. The boats are intended to be simple working vessels that really sail and can go anywhere in the world. Construction is commercial style without yachty detail or complications, but rather rugged working structure that will stand up for many years. The hold space is big enough to haul fish or 30,000 pounds of cargo, or it can be a workshop or passenger accommodation. These boats are burdensome, they handle big loads with ease and integral tanks could be built into the lower hold and bilges to carry several thousand gallons of fuel or fresh water.

As her larger sister accommodation includes 4 bunks and galley in the foc’sl, good pilothouse aft with engineroom under and owner’s private cabin under the outside controls on the aft deck.
