John's Bay Boat Lobsteryacht 32

The majority of the yard's production is commercial vessels for the Maine lobster fishery: Occasionally, Johns Bay builds a lobster yacht. The recently launched Julieann is an example of this, and we are currently in the planning stages for a 44' classic that will begin construction in the summer of 2002.

Our usual method of working together is to start with a model that Pete has built. We modify that hull to fit the new requirements, changing depth, freeboard, station spacing, etc. To the modified hull, I then add the deckhouse and interior arrangement and work out powering, tanks, and analyze the weights and balance of the boat.

All boat photos belong to the builder, John's Bay Boat.
